Two more days for handing in your challenge

Hand in your challenge – and have it solved by a robotics solution. That is the ESMERA promise. The ESMERA consortium is now looking for these industrial end-user challenges. Applications are accepted only until June 15th. You can apply using opencalls@esmera-project.eu.

Within the European-funded robotics project ESMERA, real-life problems from diverse industry sectors are published in an Open Call. The Call will start in September and asks European SMEs to apply and solve these pre-defined challenges. The ESMERA consortium is now looking for these challenges. Applications are accepted until June 15th.

Companies preferably, but not exclusively working in Energy, Manufacturing, Agri-Food or Construction are invited to hand in their current industrial challenge to have it solved by a robotics solution. SMEs developing these solutions can get funding of up to 200.000 euros each. And the industrial end-user challenge providers get their challenges solved. For questions and application to ESMERA, please contact opencalls@esmera-project.eu or Esra Icer from TU München: Esra.Icer@tum.de.

Background information

Within the European Commission´s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme ESMERA (European SMEs Robotics Applications) aims to boost robotics innovation by European Small and Medium sizes Enterprises (SMEs).

In the context of ESMERA, small-scale research projects, so-called experiments, will be conducted. Industrial end-users pose concrete challenges in their area and SMEs developing robotics technologies apply to provide the respective solution. The challenge winners will receive direct financial support through a cascade funding mechanism of up to 200.000 euros each. Also, the ESMERA consortium provides technical support, access to robotics facilities and mentoring. Within the first Open Call of ESMERA, challenges were defined, as well.
